The Sacramento Kings took small forward Gerald Wallace with the #25 overall pick (1st round) of the 2001 NBA Draft. Wallace played in 138 games (9 starts) in his three years with the Kings and he averaged 9.7 minutes, 3.4 points, 2.1 rebounds an 0.5 assists per game. Wallace never really got much of a chance to show what he could do in Sacramento. That didn’t matter to the Charlotte Bobcats, as they picked him off the Kings’ roster on June 22nd, 2004 in the expansion draft. Wallace has turned into a very solid player on both ends of the basketball court.
